Contest Category

K-Style All content about ‘Korean beauty’, whether the stunning scenery or individual fashion style (tourist destinations, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, etc.). (Ex. Recommended courses for Gwangalli night view in Busan / Tips for buying vintage clothing in Dongmyo, Seoul)

K-Flavor All content about ‘Korean flavor’, including Korea’s representative foods.
(Ex. Exclusive Jeonju restaurant review / ASMR from Jumunjin, Gangneung)

K-Meme All content about ‘the latest’ boom in Korea (Ex. K-pop dance challenge)

Anyone who loves Korea and travel.
(Both locals and foreign nationals are welcome.)
※ Individuals only. No limit to the number of entries per person (duplicate awards not given).

How to Participate
  1. Upload idea content to your personal Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook account.
    (Any format, including images, videos, dance challenges, etc. / Not to exceed 3 minutes for video.)
  2. Upload with the required hashtags:
    #CHALLENGEKOREAAWARDS #FEELTHERHYTHMOFKOREA ※ Missing required hashtags may result in disqualification from consideration.
    ※ Private accounts are not eligible for reveiw, and uploaded content must remain public until the award date.
  3. Register the URL of the content along with your personal information on the contest submission page.
    ※ You can choose the topic of your entry, and your entry will be evaluated based on the screening criteria for that topic.
    ※ Entering incorrect personal information or URLs may disqualify you from the award.

Notice
  • The winner is responsible for any taxes and fees associated with the prize. (excluding nominations)
  • Any work suspected of being plagiarized will be excluded from the process. In the event that a work is found to be plagiarized after winning, the award will be revoked, and any prize money is to be returned.
  • All entries must be copyrighted by the entrant and must be free of any issues of likeness, intellectual property, copyright, etc. (In case of legal issues, the award will be canceled, and the certificate of award/prize money will be returned.)
  • Submissions will not be returned and may be excluded from screening if the original file cannot be provided after winning.
  • Submissions may be displayed at HiKR GROUND (located in Jung-gu, Seoul) during the Challenge Korea Week, an event organized by the Korea Tourism Organization.
  • Some of the submitted works may be used as a reference for creating content for the Korea Tourism Organization's social media (YouTube).
  • There is no limit to the number of entries, but the prize will be granted to one entry per person.
  • We reserve the right to not select all or any of the winning entries if they do not meet a certain level of quality.
  • To ensure fairness in the judging process, winners will be selected through a preliminary round (internal evaluation) and a final round (evaluation by professional judges) based on internal evaluation criteria.
  • Entrants are responsible for any issues arising out of their submitted work, including but not limited to portrait right, copyright, defamation, or production issues, and if any such issues come to light even after winning, the award will be revoked and any prize money is to be returned.
  • The winner retains the copyright to the winning entry, but the price for any use of the winning entry to the extent that it fulfills the purpose of organizing the contest will be deemed to be replaced by the prize money. Therefore, we have author’s property rights (reproduction right, performance right, public transmission right, public exhibition right, distribution right, rental right, and adaptation right) to use (produce, reproduce, edit, distribute) the winning entries in non-profit activities related to the public interest, such as promotion, education, etc. after the contest, for an indeterminate period of time.
  • In any infringement occurs upon the Korea Tourism Organization's right to use the winning work, such as transferring the intellectual property rights of the winning work to a third party (individual, company, organization, etc.) other than the Korea Tourism Organization, the award will be revoked and any prize money is to be returned.
  • Since the winning works need to be made available to the public with a Korea Open Government License mark in accordance with the purpose of the contest, the winners may be requested to consent to the use of their work under the license (type4) by the Korea Tourism Organization. (*Korea Open Government License Type 4: Creating derivative works, including commercial use and modification, of a work under the license, is not allowed and the source shall be specified when using it.)
  • In the event of a dispute, both parties can settle the issue by applying to the Korean Copyright Commission for mediation, and shall mutually endeavor to facilitate the resolution of a dispute.
